Idea v. Execution

I chose Paris Hilton's self titled 2006 album "Paris". The pop album is typical for the time but one song "Jealousy" gave me the concept for the cd and booklet: a party gone wrong. The first pages are bright and colorful with motion blur to reflect the energy of the party however, as you continue red floods the pages as a very public friendship fight and breakup takes place. The last photos, the cd tray case and back of the case, are in natural light showing reality settling as the party ends and the former friends grapple with the consequences.

Editing

While I did have access to colorful lighting, all of the photos had their vibrance and saturation turned all the way up in photoshop to convey the heightened state of emotions giving it a Warhol like effect. 

Layout

I also doodled on top of the photos to add a youthful element to reflect the tone and target market of the album.
